Writing

Long before I could afford therapy, writing (and reading) was the way that I understood and processed emotions. I can’t tell you the number of times I read something in a book and went “Damn! That’s exactly what’s happening to me!” And even now that I can afford therapy, writing is still my first line of defense. I seek connection through the written word—to imagine hope, to remember freedom, and to invite change.

My goal as a writer is to share with you my perspective; to weave a tapestry of my own thoughts so that you might experience, even for a moment, something outside yourself. I offer myself through my words in the hopes that someone else might recognize themselves in my story.

You can read my published poems and short stories at the links below, and if you want to be the first to hear about new and upcoming projects, sign up for my newsletter!

Thanks for reading.
